Stripes came from a shelter with an old injury to his leg. He wasn't putting any weight on it, but he could hop up and down the shelves just fine. The X-rays showed he has significant damage in his elbow joint from an infected wound. The bones can no longer support his weight and the only option is amputation. He has already learned how to get around on three legs, so we expect a relatively easy recuperation before he can be adopted. Stripes is a young and very sweet cat. He will be the star of someone's family.
