Help Fix Lil Bit's leg

September 16, 2010
Posted by

Poor Lil Bit was found as a stray and brought to a rural VA shelter.  At first, she seemed just fine - a little thin but a happy, friendly dog.  But after she had been in a small dog play group, the shelter noticed her reluctance to put weight on her rear leg.  A trip to the vet for an x-ray revealed that her leg had been broken and then ignored.  The result is that the bone healed badly.

Though Lil Bit has a great attitude and never complains, we are sure that she must be in pain.  While she still loves to play and the leg doesn't seem to slower her down one bit, without corrective surgery, the leg will deteriorate, become increasingly useless and cause her more pain.  Please help us help Lil Bit gain pain-free use of her hind leg so that she can run and play pain-free!

Please consider making a tax deductible contrribution to fund Lil Bit's expensive surgery!
