Monte, a 1-2 year old JRT mix, needs a new foster home or a forever home. This sweet boy was found as a stray and brought to a rural shelter in W. Virginia. He was at the shelter for a few weeks and nobody came forward claiming him as their dog. Luckily, Monte was rescued and brought to the DC area recently; he is now doing great in his foster home. Monte is starting to feel more comfortable in his foster home and likes to follow his foster family around; he loves attention.
This sweet boy seems to be housebroken since he seems to know where and when to go potty. Monte is a typical JRT mix, he can jump pretty high, so he needs to go to a home with a taller fence or be on a leash when outside. Monte is a sweet boy who will lick you to show his love! This cute boy is probably 1-2 years old so he is still a youngster. Monte is pretty skinny since he was fending for himself on the streets, so he needs to put on a little weight. Monte does great with other dogs but is not good with cats so needs to go to a home without cats. Monte is a great size since he is only 15 lbs, he would do well in a home or an apartment as long as he is well-excercised on walks or a dog park.
