Family Fun With Mom and Three Kittens

June 10, 2010

Sharon and her three kittens make up an adorable feline family! Sharon, calm mommy, is relaxed about letting her kittens explore, and won't be flustered if you interact with them. Her kittens will all be long-haired, and each have a distinct personality. The leader of the pack has a black body and white paws. He is the most social and playful and especially enjoys playing with a ball. Another kitten has a dark gray body with white paws, and is playful too, but lower energy than his brother. The final kitten is dark gray and is shy, but likes to explore small spaces. He isn't afraid to climb up high, either. All three kittens are very curious and very cute!

Bring the Party to Me!

June 10, 2010

Junebug loves to play, as long as she doesn't have to go far for the fun! Her favorite toy is one she can bat around with her front paws while lying down. Junebug likes the occasional head rub too, but doesn't beg for attention and doesn't like to be "over-petted." She's a low-energy cat, and prefers lounging to running around. Junebug is big and fluffy; a beautiful declawed shorthaired calico cat, about 8 years old. She keeps to herself, and ignores most other cats. If you're interested in an easy-going, low maitenance cat, then Junebug is your girl!

Noggin Loves Head Rubs

June 01, 2010

Noggin is a young, rescued male, about a year or two old.  He is a cream/buff colored tabby and a real love-cat.  He seeks your affection, and lest you forget him, he will bump you with his noggin for more pets.  Noggin gets along well with other cats and stands his ground with dogs.  He has a calm and even temperament and plays well with all other pets and people. Noggin is an excellent companion cat.

Luigi has Superbounce!

May 24, 2010

Luigi is the super-charged member of the Mario Family.  He is very active, friendly, playful, and affectionate-- all black and less than a year old.  He gets along great with all dogs and cats because he is only interested in chasing toys.  Luigi is all legs, neck, and ears and he loves to play, run and climb.  He is skinny, but has the muscles to power his dashes across the room with his all-white brother, Mario.  He loves people and purrs when you pick him up, but he doesn't stay in one place for long -- too much to do.  If you love a high energy, affectionate cat, you must have the Superbounce!!  He should be paired with another young and active cat.

Update: Adoptions and Fosters

May 24, 2010

Update on our cats at Kitty City:  Stripes, Beauty and Patch were adopted!!  Tuffer and Whiskey are now in foster homes, but are looking for adopters.  Right now, we only have the Super Mario Family of Luigi, Mario, and Princess Peach.  But we will get more cats soon.

Mario and Princess Peach

May 12, 2010

Princess Peach is a short-haired grey cat and Mario is her all white son.  Princess Peach is very sweet, affectionate, and calm.  She enjoys relaxing while her sons play and dash around the office area.  She and Mario hang out together.  Mario is all white, slender, and very playful. He is also affectionate, but is more interested in action as a 10 month old.  They can be adopted separately, but would go very well together.  Princess Peach's petfinder link is http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=16285804

Character Cats-Whiskey and Tuffer

May 12, 2010

Whiskey and Tuffer are our funniest cats in a long time.  They are siblings, about a year old.  They are very smart and a lot of fun.  Both purr madly when held and pet, and they love to leap, run, and play.  They were the total lovebug darlings of the Dog Paws staff until Tuffer tried to steal a muffin for breakfast.  Whiskey can open magnetic gates and both cats love to nap on laps and in boxes.  These cats are movie stars!

Beauty is a Treasure

May 12, 2010

Beauty is a female orange tabby, about a year old.  She is sweet and mellow.  She likes to play, but prefers just to sit near you as you go about your business with an occasional head massage.  She's neither needy or aloof.  She really loves dogs -- she walked up to a strange beagle and rubbed his head and legs.  She will tolerate some cats, but strongly prefers people.  If you need a sweet, calm girl, come meet Beauty at Kitty City.

Updates on graduates

May 12, 2010

A huge thank you to everyone who donated for Stripes' leg amputation.  The surgery was a success and Stripes has recovered.  He is back to chasing and being chased by his foster buddies and may have a forever home soon (fingers crossed).

Luke and Chow have been adopted, but Leia is still looking for a quiet home where she can lavish her affection on her person.

Patch the Small Manx

March 31, 2010

Patch arrived from the same shelter as Stripes.  He is a very affectionate, small Tuxedo... and a bobtail Manx.  He loves to play with Stripes, so we want them to be fostered and adopted together. They are often seen side-by-side on a chair, watching Sue's hamsters. Patch has a very endearing trait: He loves to be picked up and held with his paws draped over your shoulder.  He purrs and purrs while rubbing his head to yours.  He never wants to be let down, so we just carry him all around Kitty City.

Patch is very playful and dashes about trying to catch all the toys. His little bob tail wags back and forth when you bring out the string for play.
