We are thrilled to announce that this year’s live auction will feature only work by local artists—emerging and established painters, sculptors, and photographers from the Metro DC or mid-Atlantic area. The auction will include work of various sizes, styles, and price ranges...there will be something for everyone. And many of the artists will be in attendance, so you can meet and mingle with them throughout the night!
If you're a local artist interested in participating in PawCasso, please submit your art.
Andrea Gagne has had a passion for photography since she was a child. She thrives in capturing everyday "moments" and sharing it with the viewer. She is a native of the DC area and is thrilled to combine her enthusiasm for photography and animals and be a part of the Pawcasso Event. She currently is a mom to a rescue Pit Bull and a Bull Mastiff.
Bill Milstead resides in Maryland and is a dog lover who has 6 rescue dogs. He also refinishes furniture which he sells at the Georgetown Flea market every Sunday throughout the year.
Megan Gleason Riley is an artist and art educator. Her paintings show glimpses of everyday life that are brightened by whimsical color, light and emphasize simple shapes. She often finds inspiration from her young students – who use bold colors and are uninhibited by realism.
Her cheery designs appealed to a team of judges who selected one of her works -- a painting titled "Lemonade and Gerber Daisies" -- to feature in "Best of Virginia Artists and Artisans 2005."
Susie Hooban specializes in acrylic personalized portraits. She studied at VCU School of Arts and has exhibited in local galleries, participated in local art shows, charitable events and fundraisers, as well as being featured in various publications.
Anne Cherubim is a self-taught artist who paints contemporary landscapes. She works predominantly in acrylic. Her art is rooted in real life images and textures, with a modern abstraction, often in a limited colour palette.
