My artwork features a colorful textural style, employing realism, abstraction, and impressionistic features. I strive to capture a moment of mood, light, and composition. I find my subject matter when I volunteer at animal adoption events or from friends that have adopted rescue animals. I also paint pet portrait commissions.

After becoming a foster mom to a homeless dog, I started painting my Homeless Pet Series. I have always been an animal lover, so incorporating adoptable dogs and cats into my paintings seemed natural. Animals play such an important role in the lives of so many people that it seems fitting to paint them.
