M.P. Brown relocated to suburban Maryland in the early 1990s and has remained in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area now residing in Brambleton, Virginia. He has studied under watercolorist Joan Beveleaqua and at the University of Maryland.

Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the 1970s, M.P. Brown was raised during the gradual decline of the American steel industry. The slow transformation from a blue to white collar society left a lasting impression on him.
