Found with a Broken Leg

Desi was found in rural West Virginia limping along the side of a road. An animal control officer took him to a vet because he was in bad shape. The vet did x-rays and his leg was broken and couldn’t be repaired so they recommended amputation. The local shelter reached out to us for helps because they didn’t want him to recover in a cage at the shelter and didn’t have the resources to fund the surgery.

We didn’t want him to suffer another minute so we authorized the amputation and he came to Homeward Trails. Now Desi is on the road to recovery. He’ll soon be ready to find a home and never be in danger again. Please help us cover the cost of the surgery so we can continue to help special animals like Desi.
