Momma Shera & Newborn Pup Need our Help (by 1/4)
Shera is a black and brown 2-year-old lab mix that was found as a stray wandering in southern Virginia. Her owner eventually came to the shelter – but only to surrender her other two dogs and officially surrender Shera. Shortly after, Shera gave birth to a puppy. Southern Virginia shelters often have low resources, low foot traffic, and higher euthanasia rates – and loud, crowded shelters are no place for a nursing mother and a newly-born pup that cannot be vaccinated.
