Thank you for considering adoption! Homeward Trails Animal Rescue adopts pets to homes in Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland. Many of the dogs and puppies available for adoption are being cared for in foster homes in the DC area, but dozens are located at our Adoption Center in Fairfax Station. If you’re interested in meeting an Adoption Center dog, please review our pet adoption process. If the animal is in a foster home, please contact the volunteer whose email is listed on the individual bio. In most cases, if the animal is listed on this page, he or she is still looking for his or her forever home!
