paintWe are thrilled to announce that this year’s PawCasso art auction to benefit the animals of Homeward Trails will feature only work by local artists—emerging and established painters, sculptors, and photographers from the Metro DC or mid-Atlantic area. We are currently accepting submission of art for consideration- the auction will include work of various sizes, styles, and price ranges.

If you are a local artist who is interested in participating, please contact Homeward Trails volunteer Amy to find out how to submit your work for consideration!

PawCasso is a unique and exciting live art auction event benefiting Homeward Trails Animal Rescue. This year’s event will be held on April 24 at the newly remodeled Council on Foreign Relations, just blocks from the White House. The evening will host approximately 300 animal and art-lovers.

In addition to the live art auction, there will also be a large, upscale silent auction featuring more than 100 donations including massage certificates, vacation home stays, restaurant certificates, yoga classes, private airplane rides and much more.

sweetie2Volunteers have been out flyering and searching the area for Sweetie for a couple days now.   She is a shy dog and there are lots of woods to hide in.  Hopefully, she will get hungry and come out soon.  If anyone is interested in helping, we will be meeting at 11am, 32nd & W ST SE on Monday, 1/18/10 to get started.  We will be in the SE area bordering PG county. If you can’t get there at 11 but can come later in the day, please contact Kim at 202-907-1264.
