Art Enables Event

Stop by the Lemonade Stand on Monday or Wednesday afternoons in July to support the children of Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless (AACH) and Homeward Trails.  For the second year in a row the children have elected to give proceeds from the stand to support the animals of Homeward Trails.  Last year they raised $500!

The Lemonade Stand is a summer program designed to promote self-esteem through small business entrepreneurship, financial literacy and community service.  The Lemonade Stand helps students learn how to work together in group settings, while building leadership skills through the management of the stand.  The community service portion of the program allows students the opportunity to “give back” to organizations that serve those who are less fortunate.  This year the Lemonade Stand donated 50% of its proceeds to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue!  The remaining portion will help to fund trip to King’s Dominion for the students.

The Lemonade Stand is operating on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 -7:00 pm through the entire month of July.  The stand is located in front of the  AACH offices at 932 N. Highland Street.

We thank you, our loyal supporters, business partners, and friends, for helping us raise more than $45,000 in just 24 hours on June 19th during the Do More 24 competition. For the second year in a row Homeward Trails won the big $15,000 prize for having the most unique donors and also received a $5,000 award for raising the most money before noon.  With a total of $25,214 raised and $20,000 in additional prize money we ended the day with over $45,000 raised for the animals! We cannot thank you enough and we’ll get to work right away saving more lives. THANK YOU!

Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us for the Capital Pride parade and festival.  We look forward to this fun event every year!  The dogs are always a huge hit in the parade and we love seeing all our adopters who stop by the booth to say hello.

For the second year, Homeward Trails was proud to partner with Mervis Diamond Importers for the Diamonds in the Ruff Weekend.  In addition to two adoption events at the Tysons Corner Mervis location, Homeward Trails will receive a portion of all the sales from the Mervis stores for that weekend.  Thank you Mervis for supporting HT and helping our pups find homes!

Due to some sudden unforeseen issues with a few sub-vendors of PawCasso, we are regretfully postponing this event. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

We are committed to putting on a top quality event and due to these circumstances, which we have been trying to work out, we feel we will fall short if we move forward on the April 26th date.

We are working diligently on an alternative date and expect to be able to post the new information by April 25. In the spirit of making lemonade from lemons, we are actually looking forward to being able to add a few surprise features and some VIPs who were not available on April 26th.

If you would have purchased tickets and would like a refund, please email info@homewardtrails.org we will most gladly issue one. If you wish to wait for the new date and then decide, you may e-mail us at that time.

We do hope you will still attend PawCasso on the new date, as we promise it will be our best event ever…we have so many amazing artists, hundreds of silent auction items, music and food all ready…and we promise more guests, more artists, more fun and more funds raised for the animals.
