Come out on Sunday, April 19 to meet some great HT pups and watch the George Washington Colonials  baseball team at Bark at Barcroft, a special community event that allows patrons the chance to sit beside their best canine friend while taking in a day of Colonials baseball!

Starting at 11:00 a.m., pet owners will have the opportunity to enter the DogZone; a special area located inside the gates to Barcroft Park where  we will have some of our fabulous HT dogs for adoption and local vendors will be providing services!  Pet owners are welcome to bring their well behaved, social, leashed and vaccinated dogs and and purchase tickets to attend the game.

For tickets to Bark at Barcroft, stop by the Athletics ticket office, call (202) 99-GWTIX, or email tickets@gwu.edu. Tickets will be available for purchase at Barcroft Park the day of the game or during any weekend GW Baseball games prior to April 19th.

HT will be set up just outside the baseball stadium with our sweet adoptable dogs.  Maybe one of these adoptable pups can find their forever home with you?  Hope to see you there!

Homeward Trails is thrilled to partner with Flashband for a fundraising music showcase at IOTA Club & Cafe in Arlington next weekend. Join us Saturday, March 14th, for Flashband:Animals! We’ve also launched the Take Me Home fundraising drive as part of this show, with a goal of raising $8,000 for Homeward Trails Animal Rescue. $8,000 would cover the cost of rescuing 60 dogs and cats from high kill shelters (including vet care and spay/neuter surgery).

Flashband is a DC-based organization that connects musician with other musicians so they can meet new collaborators, learn new skills, and make music.  40 musicians will come together to form one day bands and raise money for our animal rescue efforts.  This event is sure to be a blast and the music will be a mixture of original music and animal themed songs.  We hope to see you there!

Get your tickets or just donate (if you can’t make the show)!
