Have you ever wanted to know more about animal communication? Homeward Trails is hosting a special Zoom conversation on Sunday, June 7 at 7 pm ET with author Jeannie Lindheim, to discuss her new book Loving Animals: Conversations with an Animal Communicator.  Jeannie studied with animal communication pioneer, Penelope Smith, in Prescott, Arizona. Now she consults with pet lovers from all over the US who are trying to get information and understand how their animal feels. In the one hour presentation, Jeannie will discuss how animal communication works, share techniques she uses – as well as provide a technique that anyone can use with their animals – and she will answer your questions. Should you decide to purchase her new book on Amazon, and you write a review that mentions Homeward Trails, Jeannie will donate 100% of the proceeds from your purchase to Homeward Trails! Plus, Jeannie is generously donating her time and 100% of the proceeds from this live virtual event will go to Homeward Trails! The Zoom gathering will be recorded so even if you can’t make it live, you can still register and receive the recording to watch later. Only $10 per household.

Due to COVID our camps are canceled for Summer 2020. We hope to see you next year!

Kids ages 8-13 are invited to join us for our energetic and educational summer camp – Camp Waggin’ Tails!

During our week-long camp held at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center in Fairfax Station, kids will learn all about animal rescue, responsible pet ownership, positive dog training, hear from a variety of pet professionals, and work hands on with carefully selected adoptable dogs while engaging in fun games and projects designed to reinforce what we have learned.

During summer 2020, Camp Waggin’ Tails will run Monday through Friday July 13-17 from 8:30am-3:30pm. Additional before and after camp hours may be available for an additional fee.

Registration is $400 per child and includes two daily snacks, all supplies, a water bottle and a Camp Waggin’ Tails t-shirt.

Camps are limited to 16 children per session so register today before they fill up! To ensure your child’s safety and that they receive the individual attention they deserve, Camp Waggin’ Tails operates with a minimum of one adult for every four children.

Please contact rebeccag@homewardtrails.org with any questions or to register.

Thank you to our Camp Waggin’ Tails Sponsors!

Meow Manor is our temporary housing facility for cats located in Falls Church. VA. Volunteers are needed to take care of the cats, feed them, scoop the litter and give them tons of love and attention. Volunteering is sooooo rewarding – you get to help out homeless kitties and get your kitty fix!
We have morning and evening shifts available seven days a week and volunteers sign up at their convenience. There’s no set schedule so it’s whatever works for you!
If you’re interested in learning more about volunteering please email meowmanor@homewardtrails.org.

We currently need foster homes for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens!  Fosters are one or our greatest resources because more foster homes=more animals we can save!

The Homeward Trails foster home program is a great way to help animals in need. By providing an animal a temporary home, the foster has given that animal another chance at life that he deseserves. Homeward Trails is always on the look out for people willing to open their hearts and their homes to animals in need.  Learn more today on ways you can help Homeward Trails care for animals in need.
