We are happy to announce a new partnership with Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program! Their missions is to provide prison inmates with the training and tools to rehabilitate dogs with behavioral issues who are at risk of homelessness or euthanasia. Dogs accepted in the program are immersed into 8-12 weeks of intensive positive-reinforcement training where they learn basic commands and how to be excellent canine citizens! Buddy is our first dog to enter the program and we cannot be more excited! He will be available for adoption after completion of this program so if you are looking for a very well mannered boy this summer please keep Buddy in mind!

New to this year’s product line is the “Best Friend” tee.  This slub cotton unisex long sleeve tee features a silhouette of the Black Dog on the back filled with all the words that describe why we love dogs. The shirt also features a small front print, as well as a dated logo on the cuff.

The best part is that Homeward Trails will receive a donation of 100% of the net proceeds from the sales of the tee. We are thrilled to be the charity of choice of The Black Dog’s National Harbor store!
