ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training, and other discounts!

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 55-60 pounds.

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Pistachio has lived with other dogs in foster and adoptive homes, though he can be a bit pushy and might need some help taking breaks.

KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not know how Pistachio is with cats. If that information is needed, please let us know.

KNOWN WITH KIDS: Pistachio can be nervous around lots of hustle and bustle, and might do better in a quieter household with older children or adults.

KNOWN CUE: Sit, working on Down and Shake.

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Pistachio is housetrained. He settles in his crate but can get FOMO when exciting things are happening around him.

KNOWN LIKES: Toys, treats, other dogs, snuggling with trusted friends.

KNOWN DISLIKES: Pistachio can be nervous around new people.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Pistachio was returned to Homeward Trails through no fault of his own. He lived in his home for most of his life and is understandably nervous coming back to us, so we are working to help him feel more comfortable and confident. Once you're in Pistachio's Best Friends Club, though, get ready for his silly, squishy self to shine through!
