KNOWN WITH DOGS: Stout loves other dogs.
KNOWN WITH CATS: Stout has been ok with some cats and has chased others.
KNOWN WITH KIDS: Stout is friendly with kids he meets but he can get nervous in some situations so he'll do best in a home with older children.
KNOWN COMMANDS: Stout knows his name, come, and has an excellent sit
KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Stout loves his crate. He is making good progress on house training.
KNOWN LIKES: Stout loves other dogs, treats and gentle pets. He also loves shopping at the pet store. He loves to play with other energetic dogs.
KNOWN DISLIKES: Stout ifinds loud noises, especially outside scary. He feels safe in his crate and gets upset when disturbed in his safe place.

Meet Stout!
He’s a super sweet pup looking for his forever home. He’s learning that new things aren’t so scary and he picks things up quickly. When Stout came to us he was terrified to be outside and refused to go on walks. His confident canine friend is showing him that outside can be fun. Stout has finally decided that walks and playtime outside isn't so scary afterall. Stout would really love to find a forever home with a confident, playful dog pal. His likes include getting pets and scratches, stealing his foster sister’s favorite squeaky toy, sniffing in the yard, and treats.
Stout is FANTASTIC in the car, he's a pro. He just curls up and goes right to sleep, no whining, barking, or carsickness. He is a such a sweet pup and will come right up to you for gentle kisses. Stout is also a super shopper; he loves trips to the pet store.
He is affectionately known to "sit like a human," and stare into your soul. He's a very inquisitive and observant dog and loves to hangout with his people.
Stout was found as a stray with his sister and brought to a rural shelter. He can get nervous around a lot of hustle and bustle and would prefer a quieter home.
