Meet Haze!

Hello, my name is Haze! I recently came to Homeward Trails by way of an overcrowded high-kill shelter in southwest Virginia. Thanks to a wonderfully generous foster family, my life was saved and I am happy to be here in foster care!

But I'm still hoping some kind person or family will give me my very own forever home. I am a happy, social fellow who just loves hanging out with people. My foster mom says I am smart, whatever that means, because I learned how to "sit" in just one day. I love to sit. I love walks and car rides too. But mostly I just love people.

My foster mom says I am smart, whatever that means, because I learned how to "sit" in just one day. I love to sit. I love walks I am a good walker . Please come meet me!

My foster Mom says:

Haze's quiet demeanor is a testament to his gentle soul. He's looking for a forever home where he can share his love and playful spirit. His sweet nature and playful spirit makes him the perfect companion!

Haze will be a great dog for someone. He is super social and really loves hanging around with people. He met about 20 different people at a party yesterday and was perfectly sociable with all of them. When they came in, he did not bark. He actually hasn't barked at all yet!

When visitors came in the house, he just stood back and watched them come in and then approached them with tail wagging for pets. Anyone who sat on the ground he instantly leaned up against them and tried to stay near them. If My dog was getting petted, he would insert himself between her and the person, but he was never aggressive towards my dog.

He is very good on his walks. No pulling. He was curious about other dogs when we met them. For the most part, he walked straight next to me next to my dog.

Like all dogs, I'm sure he would enjoy a fenced yard, but it doesn't seem necessary given his energy level. He had some interest in plush toys, but not a lot so far. He deserves the most wonderful home!
