You know how you sit at the window in the hot DC summer and think "I wish it was snowy right now"? Guess what? It is Snowy right now, and all the time! Because I'm Snowy and being with you is one of my favorite things to do!
And I don’t only like to play in the snow. I love to play all the time. I'm a Retriever and one of my favorite games is fetch, and when I get the toy, I prance around showing off how well I did (but you already know I did a good job). Right now my favorite toys are stuffed toys, they are my favorite to show off to you so you know I found it.
I'm new to the house-dog life and still learning that not everything in the house is a toy. Sometimes I find my foster parents' shoes and pick them up. But don’t worry, I don’t chew them. I like to prance around and show you that I found the shoe! And I may be new to the house-dog life, but I am already house trained and crate trained. I am so well house trained that I even bring you my leash when I need to go outside! I even do well on car rides.
As good as I am, house-dog life can still be very confusing sometimes. I love to play with my food and get my meals in frozen Kongs. But I see my foster parents sitting at the table where they eat and don’t want them to eat alone, so I sit politely in a chair with them.
I’ve met a lot of new people in the last few weeks, and do you know what? I love all of them! Adults are great! Kids are great! The littlest person I've met so far is five years old, but I was very gentle with her and would do great in a home with kids of all ages. With all people I love sitting as close to them as possible, usually right on their laps. It is the best way to get hugs.
City life has been hard though. I can sometimes get nervous or excited on walks when I see another dog or a person on a bike. But I am learning how to redirect my energy and I know you will be able to help me.
Did I mention that I like walks? Well I do! And I know you like walks, which makes us perfect for each other.
I know that you want to meet me, Snowy, as soon as possible. To do that email my friend Joshua at JoshuaHTRescue@gmail.com and ask about meeting me, Snowy!
