HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH:

CATS: Jer has lived with other cats, but he really shines when he's your one and only!

DOGS: We think Jer would prefer a home without dogs.

KIDS: Jer is good with older kids.

KNOWN LIKES: Sitting on laps, his water fountain, snuggling on the couch, looking handsome, yoga, cheek rubs, holding hands (he's old fashioned).

KNOWN DISLIKES: Jer can get stressed by big changes, so he's probably not an adventure cat. Oh and closed doors - he's a cat after all.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Meet Jer, a kitty with a heart and personality as big as he is. He recently was surrendered to a shelter when his owner passed. It was really stressful for him, but he's come out on the other side of those challenges and is ready to start a new chapter.

Jer loves everyone he meets, but because he can be a little stressed with a ton of change, he would probably do best in a home without toddlers or babies.

Even though summer's almost over, he's still working on his summer body. He maybe overindulged (or was over-served - oops) in food before, but he's hoping that with some easy healthy lifestyle changes (eating his wet food, playing with his toys), the pounds will start to melt off.

He loves cheek scratches and chest rubs, and will hold your hands so you don't stop petting him too early. Hope you have room in your bed, Jer's climbing right on in and making himself comfortable (he'll make sure he's got a paw on you so you can't sneak out in the middle of the night).
