ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Bandit is coming to HT from a rural VA shelter where he was surrendered for no fault of his own. He was over looked at the shelter for so long. We're so happy he's safe with HT and in a loving foster. is a velcro dog that also likes to go off on his own adventures!
Notes from the foster:
Bandit is smart and affectionate. And just look at that SMILE! He went from rural life to DC city living without much fuss. Bandit enjoys playing with the resident dog but is also happy to nap through most of the day. Once he bonds with you, he might bark/ howl a bit when you leave the house, but he settles quickly and is fine being crated or left out. He does not bark much although he likes to “talk” when he is excited. Bandit is very trainable, as he likes treats and wants to please his people. He has quickly learned to wait at open doors instead of dashing out. Walks are very exciting for him, so he is working on walking at a human pace. He is highly adaptable and would be fine in an apartment or a house. If you are looking for a lovable, chill best friend, look no further than Bandit!
