We have gleaned many awesome dogs from near and far, of all ages, sizes and breeds who need homes. And we need to make room in our fosters and at our Adoption Center to get ready for the busy summer season.

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Darcy is good with other dogs.
KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how they are with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information!
KNOWN WITH KIDS: We don't know how Darcy is with kids.
KNOWN COMMANDS: Sit.
KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Darcy settles nicely in her crate at the center.
KNOWN LIKES: Affection, treats, dogs, walks and training!
KNOWN DISLIKES: None we've seen so far!
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Darcy, the sweetheart with a penchant for kisses and a heart full of love! Darcy's journey began in one of our partner shelters after she was found as a stray and never reclaimed. Since her spaying/neutering date on April 5, 2024, Darcy has been in good health, though she has tested positive for Lyme disease. Despite this, her affectionate nature shines through, especially when it comes to showering people with kisses. While we're uncertain about her compatibility with cats and children, Darcy has proven to be a playful companion with other dogs, showing understanding of appropriate play breaks and corrections. Initially shy, she quickly warms up and engages in chase play, eagerly joining in the fun. In her crate, Darcy finds comfort and settles in nicely, making it her safe haven. With a foundation in housebreaking and knowledge of the "sit" command, Darcy is well on her way to becoming a model companion. While she enjoys exploring on leash and has a nose for adventure, she may pull and chase squirrels, but can be redirected with treats. Darcy's list of likes includes affection, treats, walks, and training sessions, with no known dislikes observed so far.
