ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Introducing Peggy, a special soul with a story of resilience and a heart yearning for love! Peggy's journey led her to our care after she was surrendered to one of our partner rescues due to unforeseen circumstances. Since her spaying/neutering date on April 11, 2024, Peggy has been in good health, with no medical concerns to report. However, Peggy's initial interactions with new people may seem daunting, as she's slow to warm up and has shown signs of nervousness, including growling and displaying teeth. To help Peggy feel more at ease, our staff recommends using high-value treats, such as cheese, and introducing her in a calm environment like a peace out room. While we're uncertain about her compatibility with cats and children, Peggy has co-existed peacefully with other dogs, although she may need time to adjust to her new environment post-spaying. In her crate, Peggy finds solace and security, viewing it as her safe haven. Despite her shyness, Peggy craves affection and enjoys indulging in treats and playtime with toys. She has a distaste for loud noises and fast movements, preferring a gentle and serene atmosphere. A fun fact about Peggy? She appreciates being courted, so patience and understanding will surely win her heart. If you're ready to offer Peggy the love and support she deserves, contact us today to arrange a meeting. Let's give Peggy the chance to thrive in a nurturing forever home. Adoption fees apply.
