KNOWN WITH DOGS: Hazel is good with other dogs at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center!

KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how they are with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information!

KNOWN WITH KIDS: Unknown at this time, Hazel is usually a bit shy meeting new people so she may be better in a home with calm children.

KNOWN COMMANDS: We don't know what commands, if any, Hazel may know.

KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Hazel settles nicely in her crate, as she sees it as a safe space,

KNOWN LIKES: Affection, treats and training.

KNOWN DISLIKES: Loud noises and fast movements.

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Hazel, a gentle soul with a heart full of love, ready to find her forever home! While we don't have much background information on Hazel besides her origin from one of our partner shelters, her sweet disposition speaks volumes. Hazel arrived with a clean bill of health and a shy demeanor, but beneath her initial reserve lies a world of affection waiting to be discovered.

Hazel is a bit of a mystery when it comes to her interactions with cats and children, but her gentle nature suggests she could be a wonderful companion given the right environment. She's a bit timid meeting new people, but with patience and understanding, she warms up quickly and forms deep bonds with those she trusts.

In the company of other dogs, Hazel prefers to coexist peacefully rather than engage in rough play. She sets her boundaries with high-energy pups but has been known to play in small bursts, showing her playful side in moderation. Hazel finds solace in her crate, seeing it as a safe space where she can relax and unwind.

While she may not have mastered any commands yet, Hazel is eager to learn and thrives on affection, treats, and positive reinforcement. On walks, she can be a bit nervous at first and will benefit from confidence-building exercises to help her feel more at ease.

Hazel's likes include receiving affection, indulging in tasty treats, and engaging in training sessions that boost her confidence and reinforce positive behaviors. However, she's not a fan of loud noises or fast movements, preferring a calm and peaceful environment where she can flourish.

As a bonus fun fact, Hazel is Delta's sister, adding an extra layer of charm to her already endearing personality. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a gentle companion who will fill your days with love and joy, consider welcoming Hazel into your life. Come meet her today and discover the special bond she has to offer!
