Kriser’s Natural Pet
7505 Leesburg Pike
Falls Church, VA 22043

Maisy is a sweet girl who was returned to Homeward Trails due to a death in the family. She is a bit shy, but has tons of love to give a new family. She is currently living in a foster home where she is being given much love and attention.

Maisy is a playful 3-year-old who had her own little girl (now four) her entire life. Maisy is good with kids and friendly and curious with other dogs. She is housetrained and crate-trained. She does well with other dogs in doggie day care. Maisy is curious about cats and might chase.
Does anyone have lots of love to give and a place in their family for this kind, gentle girl?

Say hello to Greta! She is very sweet, playful young pup. Greta arrived in the States from Puerto Rico. She had been living at a fertilizer plant with a few other puppies. She was pretty shy when she first came to us but she’s really blossomed in her foster home. She’s turning into a happy little dog!

Greta is an active and athletic girl who loves to play with other dogs, When she first came to her foster home, she would retreat when a human came near her but she’s begun to happily accept pets and with a little more time and TLC, she will really blossom. Greta is looking for a forever home to call her own. She’d love a home with another dog.

Abby is a sweet, playful, two-year old lab/hound mix. She is very affectionate with her people and plays very well with other dogs of virtually any size or breed. She loves to snuggle on the couch, usually burrowing under pillows or blankets on the couch – she loves her little cave space! She also likes a bird’s eye view of things, perching on the highest point to get the best perspective, be it couch, chair or rock. She doesn’t bark a lot, but she will bark at strange sounds or to announce strangers. We don’t know a lot about her history, other than she appears to have been branded by someone at some point in her life. She’s happy to be away from that environment and is looking forward to a forever home. Here are no kids at her foster home, but she seems to do well with them.

Meet Rufio on Saturday, August 19 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Kriser’s Natural Pet
7505 Leesburg Pike
Falls Church, VA 22043

Rufio continues to be a loving and cuddly dog who likes to give lots of kisses. He is very high energy and will do best in a home with a backyard, and people who can walk him at least 3 -4 times a day. He will also require training, especially in leash walking, as he continues to pull when we walk him.

He has learned the words “WAIT” and “STAY” and is really a smart dog. He knows what we mean when we say it’s time to go for a walk, or time to go to bed. etc.

He won’t do well in a crate all day due to his need for frequent exercise and stimulation. He does understand when you ask him to go into his crate and does comply. with that command.

We had some neighbors over on July 4th and he barked incessantly at the young children, but absolutely no biting or jumping on them. He also barks when new people come into our house, but after about 3 or so minutes he calms down.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered.
