Who wants to go for a walk? I do! I love walks!

I’m DC (but my friends call me Diesel). I’m a very sweet and friendly Rottweiler/Lab mix, just look at my big smile. You can’t stop looking at me can you? Well, take a short break of looking at my great smile to read more about me.

Some people think I’m 5 years old, some say I’m older. Well, I’ll never tell. It doesn’t matter anyway because I’m strong and athletic, I jump into the backseat of my foster dad’s SUV and jump around whenever I see my leash, because my leash means I get to go for a walk.

Did I mention I love walks? On a walk, you would never know how strong I am since I don’t really pull and walk nicely by your side.

I’m good with people including kids; and I’m good around most other dogs, but really high-energy dogs can sometimes be too much and I just tell them to leave me alone.

At home, I like to sit with my people and lounge around chewing on sheep ears and antlers, but never your stuff.

Why are you still reading? Send Lindsay an email asking about me and take me on a walk.

Meet Dory on Saturday December 8, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Kriser’s
7505 Leesburg Pike, Ste 120A
Falls Church, VA 22043

Dory was an outdoor dog for awhile but is doing well in her foster home. She is extremely sweet and loving. She can be a little shy, particularly around men but she is a beautiful caring soul. She likes to be petted and is very smart and sensitive to the requests of her people. Dory is very chill and will be a great dog for anyone who wants an older girl with a little pep in her step, but who is perfectly willing to be a couch potato most the time. Dory still has a zest for life and while she may not be good at chasing squirrels anymore, she still gets excited and wants to check out the furry critters when she sees them on her walks.

Dory would do best in a household without young children. She is fine with other dogs, but her foster has noticed a tiny bit of resource guarding in terms of food with her dog, (though Dory has shown no food aggression towards people) but that is minimal and can easily be worked on. Dory does still enjoy a walk and loves to sniff and be outside.

Won’t someone give Dory a comfortable, loving home for her senior years? She will thank you and give you an abundance of love and companionship.

Meet Bruce on Saturday December 8, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Kriser’s
7505 Leesburg Pike, Ste 120A
Falls Church, VA 22043

Bruce is a friendly, social boy who is super smart and cuddly. He is great with puppies and loves to play with just about anyone. He is quite the explorer and would make a great companion dog for someone who likes to take long walks.

Bruce was rescued from Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. This boy probably had to work hard to get enough to eat and consequently he can be protective of food. He is working on learning that he no longer needs to do this. The best home for Bruce is with folks who can commit to helping him with this training.
