Meet Jayla on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Petco Falls Church
The Shops at West Falls Church
7395 Lee Highway
Falls Church, VA 22042

Jayla was rescued from the meat trade in Thailand. ayla is super loving and loyal. She is housetrained and sleeps nicely in her crate at night. She loves to go for walks, and really likes hanging out on decks and watching squirrels. She would be happiest as the only dog in the home, but may be able to live with another super laid back dog- she’s a bit socially awkward with other dogs, likely from her time in Thailand. She will bark at visitors coming into the house. She bonds super strongly to her person and will follow them around the house and lay by their feet. She is calm in the home and really just wants to be near you.

Meet Abigail on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Petco Falls Church
The Shops at West Falls Church
7395 Lee Highway
Falls Church, VA 22042

Abigail is a very pretty and smart 4 year old hound. Abby is housetrained and crate trained. She is sweet and affectionate and cuddly with those she knows and a bit shy with strangers. Abigail picks up training quickly and loves to give kisses to her friends.
Because she’s wary of new people, she’ll do best in a home with teenagers and adults. Abigail is working on feeling more comfortable with new people and making great strides.

Abigail likes other dogs. She has a tendency to guard her food with other dogs so needs to be feed separately. She does NOT guard food with humans.

Abigail is in a foster home in McLean, Virginia.

Abigail came to us with her sister Mary after being found as strays and brought to a rural shelter. It was discovered that Abigail had heartworm. Abigail has been treated and is now enjoying life healthy and heartworm free. She loves long walks and play but also loves to cuddle in her dog bed. She’s calm in the house.

Meet Susie Q on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. at:
Petco Falls Church
The Shops at West Falls Church

Falls Church, VA 22042

Susie Q is a wonderful companion! She is house trained, happy to roam the house during the work day, and is happiest when she is alone cuddling on the couch with her human!

Suzie Q’s ideal home will be adults with a yard!

Susie follows her foster around everywhere in the house and is so excited whenever she is greeted! Her tail wags, her whole body wiggles and it’s the cutest thing ever! She enjoys being outside in a yard and playing. With her human, she’s a wonderful and sweet, gentle dog.

Susie can take several days to get comfortable with a new person or new environment, but once she does, she’s a complete joy to be around! She does better with strangers when her human is not around, so boarding is a good option for Susie when her human has to be away from home. She’s timid around new dogs and new people, but warms up at her own pace. She has no problems with food or trying to pet her while she’s eating. She loves to snack on a good bone and carry it around with her throughout the house. She would be best with a family that can give her a lots of quality time, both cuddling and playing.

Breed Estimate: Chi Mix
Gender: Female
Approximate weight: 12.7 lbs
Approximate age: 7 years
Location: Foster Home
Cratetrained: loves her crate

Personality: Sweet, cuddly, and shy, but jealous of her human!
