Homeward Trails Recevies $5,000 Grant from Northern Virginia Community Foundation
Homeward Trails is excited to announce that we are the recipient of a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia Margery Barkdull Memorial Fund for Animals.
This generous grant was given to assist our efforts with special needs animals, including those with heartworm, Feline Leukemia, FIV, broken limbs,other injuries and animals with behavioral issues.
“We could not be more thrilled to receieve this grant and are looking forward to putting the funds to good use right away,” says Sue Bell, Homeward Trails Executive Director. “As a group who takes in such a high number of special needs animals, every dollar helps us to keep going.”
Dogs like Rudolph (pictured above) who have heartworm, and dozens of other animals who are lucky enough to make their way to Homeward Trails will benefit!
