The first few weeks of puppy parenthood can be the most exciting yet challenging time. That’s why we’re here to help you navigate through this journey.
As part of our commitment to you, the Homeward Trails Puppy Program offers resources to help you navigate the many valuable adoption resources we offer and figure out where to start. We’ll reach out periodically to check in, provide support, and share tips and tricks to ensure both you and your new pup are off to the best start possible.

Positive Training & Socialization
Training and socialization should start on day one! Sign up for our Best Paw Forward online training courses, designed specifically for our adopters, and start researching training options in your area.
The Best Paws Forward program is crafted to help your dog put his best paw forward through a series of FREE trainings offered exclusively to HT adopters. These trainings cover a variety of important topics, including managing separation anxiety, training basics, and behavioral guidance, all aimed at setting you and your new furry family member up for success.
