I can bow, say “please,” crawl, high-five, share what a dog says, twirl, spin, dance like a ballerina, show my belly, tear my toys into teeny tiny pieces, sprint in figure 8s around the puppy park, and recognize so many words that my humans spell most of the time so I don’t get *too* excited about what might happen next. You should vote for me because: I’m 18! My birthday is just a few weeks away on June 1, and Mom says I must be one of the oldest Homeward Trails adoptees out there! I’ve done a lot through the years, helping to raise two K9 sisters, two K9 step brothers, and even one cat! I’ve always been there with a smile when others needed it. And, earlier this year, I completed chemo, and my lymphoma is in remission. Whew! Can I get some love and votes now please?

Hank – a raccoon, because I am so very smart and cute as can be. One of my nicknames is Hanky Houdini, because I can manage to open doors, get out of crates, and get into just about anything. I also love to eat everything, live to play, and love to hoard my toys and balls in my bed
Harriet – a squirrel, because I’m a speedy parkour enthusiast. I’m a goofball at heart but still a smart girl. Even though one of my nicknames is Har Bear, I’m a little, wiry girl with a big personality – and the term squirrely girl has been used to describe me (of course, only in the best way).

You should vote for us because: We may have started our lives in the shelter or streets, but – thanks to Homeward Trails – we are now our mommy’s angels. We are big love bugs who work everyday to spread the joy and love that can only come from knowing a good dog. We take our job very seriously, though it often looks like goofy play, sweet cuddles, and what Mom calls “wrestle mania.” We (and Mom) are so thankful for Homeward Trails for bringing us together, and we would love to help all the other good dogs (and cats, I guess) that are looking for their forever homes!

When Mango’s mom was unexpectedly called out of the country a few months ago, he came to live with Cleo. They are amazing together – they carry the same tennis ball around (at the same time!), sleep and cuddle together, chew on opposite ends of the same bone and are the best brother and sister ever. It’s going to be tough when Mango has to go home, but I’m sure there will be playdates and sleepovers

After one weekend they gave me a forever home even though I was heartworm positive. Look at me now! I am ready for bike week! When I was 14, Norgen (left, not from HT) entered my life as a new kitty brother who suffers from chronic illness. Norgen had been injured and left to die in a ditch in PA when he weighed 1 pound. A good Samaritan took him to a vet hospital where he lived for months. They dealt with his seizures and chronic digestive issues. Now he has diabetes and takes meds everyday. When he came to my house at 8 months, he had never lived outside of the vet hospital and never had the comfort of a loving family — feline or human. For two years, I have taken care of him. I groom him. I let him sleep with me. I let him sleep on top of me. We look like twins and we are a bonded pair for life. I am my brother’s keeper.
