Homeward Trails would like to extend a special thank you to Your Dog’s Best Friends Positive Play Care. They hosted last Thursday’s “First Thursday” event in Del Ray. They created a lovely “Rescue Row” for all of the rescue groups in attendance with tables, chairs, water bowls and a wonderful banner. The owner, Paul Haire, was generous enough to make a donation to Homeward Trails of $100.

Cora would love a permanent home, but a foster would be okay temporarily. Her kingdom for a couch!
Cora is a sweet active playful girl who likes to be held and snuggled. She needs someone to introduce her to strangers slowly so she can have a chance to get used to them. She is a super smart girl and is house trained. We think Cora would like to live in a house or apartment with a separate entrance so she doesn’t need to be exposed to so many strangers. It would be great if she had a fenced yard.
Gemini is a friendly, independent kitty with quite a personality! He loves attention almost as much as he loves treats. He is so treat motivated that he learned to sit for treats in just a matter of hours and could likely learn a lot more tricks! He loves attention on his own terms, so would likely do best with older children and adults who can understand his cues when he doesn’t want to be pet anymore. He does well with most cats and calm dogs but could also do well as a single kitty in the home.
